About the team

The Computer Vision Features Team at Protex champions the development and deployment of pioneering safety solutions. This team delivers Computer Vision based solutions from R&D to full production and integration with the core client web app and Protex Intelligence products. As part of the Engineering team, we are committed to state-of-the-art software development practices encompassing a diverse range of technologies.

You will be responsible for

• Working and building solutions within complex distributed systems.
• Working in close collaboration with Computer Vision Engineers and the User Applications team to integrate Computer Vision features and Computer Vision data into the core web application.
• Working closely with Product and Client Success to deliver features to full production.

We are looking for a person who has

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• Proven track record of shipping high-quality products at scale.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• The desire to work in a fast-paced environment and continuously grow.
• Strong Python proficiency
• Has knowledge in cloud technologies like serverless, microservices architecture, PostgreSQL, database management, and container applications using Kubernetes or equivalent.
• Is experienced with JavaScript backend frameworks like Node.js, Express, NestJS, or similar, and understands effective approaches for building and nurturing RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Is open to exploring different technologies, connecting with the code to support progress, and contributing across domains—whether it's generative AI, Frontend Infrastructure, enhancing system performance, or building bridges across teams to create solutions together.

Nice-to-Haves

• Some C++ proficiency
• Data analysis and/or Data Warehousing experience (Snowflake)
