In Operations, we ensure everything runs with excellence, security, and according to the right processes. We focus on efficiency and quality, making sure every step of our solution happens smoothly, accurately, and reliably. As an EBANX Alternative Payment Methods Specialist your responsibilities will include:

What You’ll Do

• Define and drive the vision for payment performance and APM strategy, acting as a technical authority and helping guide innovation across teams and markets.
• Serve as the primary subject matter expert for payment authorization, performance, and optimization topics, providing expert guidance to internal teams and external partners.
• Lead relationships with payment partner providers to improve performance and operational efficiency.
• Support the evaluation and integration of new payment technologies and partners, working closely with Product and Engineering to ensure scalable, secure, and high-impact implementations.
• Drive cross-functional initiatives to optimize the full payment lifecycle from authorization and processing to refunds and reconciliation always focused on efficiency, reliability, and customer experience.
• Develop and apply advanced analytical frameworks to monitor payment performance, identify opportunities, and continuously improve approval rates, latency, and overall conversion.
• Champion data-driven decision-making, influencing payment strategy and prioritization across the organization through clear insights and actionable recommendations.
• Represent EBANX’s payment performance expertise externally, collaborating with strategic partners and participating in industry forums, discussions, and conferences when needed.
• Strong knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and hands-on experience in designing, building, and implementing AI agents to improve automation, prioritization, and operational efficiency.

What You’ll Bring

• Strong experience with alternative payment methods, payment authorization flows, or payment performance optimization;
• Solid understanding of payment ecosystems, including acquirers, issuers, schemes, and local payment methods;
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Risk, and Commercial teams;
• Analytical mindset with experience using data to drive decisions and measure impact (experience with SQL & Tableau);
• Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain complex payment topics to both technical and non-technical audiences;
• High ownership, curiosity, and comfort operating in a fast-paced, global environment;
• English fluency.

Bonus points if you have

• Regional payments expertise to work with Latin-American or other regional payment rails and schemes;
• Spanish fluency.
