*This is a hybrid role.*At Bluevine, we pride ourselves on our collaborative culture, which we believe is best maintained through in-person interactions and a vibrant office environment. All of our offices have reopened in accordance with local guidelines, and are following a hybrid model. In-office days will be determined by location and discipline.

Responsibilities:

Generative AI Research & Experimentation:

Conduct research and evaluate large language models and generative AI techniques, identifying opportunities to apply them to data science challenges.

LLM Fine-Tuning & Model Adaptation:

Design and execute experiments to fine-tune large language models or adapt foundational models for domain-specific tasks utilizing internal datasets.

Applied Modeling with Generative AI:

Investigate how generative AI methodologies can enhance traditional machine learning approaches in areas such as risk modeling, fraud detection, and customer insights.

Knowledge Sharing & Team Enablement:

Serve as a technical resource for the broader data science team, sharing best practices, experimental results, and emerging techniques in the generative AI domain.

Prompt Design & Model Evaluation:

Develop and assess prompting strategies, evaluation methodologies, and benchmarking approaches to evaluate the performance and reliability of generative models.

Collaboration with Data Science Initiatives:

Work closely with fellow data scientists to integrate generative AI techniques into existing analytics and modeling projects.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of hands-on experience
• Experience in data science, machine learning, or applied AI, with strong analytical and experimental skills.
• Experience with generative AI & large language models
• Hands-on experience working with large language models, building agents, prompt engineering, or model fine-tuning techniques.
• Strong proficiency in Python & Data Science Toolkit
• Extensive experience with Python-based data science tools and machine learning frameworks.
