Job Summary 

As a *Senior Machine Learning (20104)*, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient software applications. Your role will involve leading technical projects, mentoring junior engineers, and continuously improving software development practices to ensure the delivery of robust and reliable software systems.  

Responsibilities and Duties 

• Develop and implement machine learning and statistical algorithms to support drilling performance analysis and optimization.
• Design and tune changepoint detection algorithms to automatically identify shifts in drilling parameters or geological formations.
• Build similarity indexing models to compare current drilling data with historical wells and identify relevant offset wells.
• Develop statistical models to calculate P10, P50 and P90 probability envelopes for key drilling performance indicators using historical datasets.

Qualifications and Skills 

• Strong experience developing machine learning and statistical models using Python.
• Advanced proficiency with data science libraries such as Scikit Learn, NumPy, Pandas and SciPy.
• Experience implementing machine learning algorithms including clustering, similarity metrics and changepoint detection techniques.
• Hands on experience working with PySpark for large scale data processing.
• Experience working with Azure Synapse Analytics and Spark based data environments.
• Strong understanding of statistical modeling and probability distributions.
• Solid foundation in mathematics including statistics and linear algebra.
• Experience performing feature engineering and preparing datasets for machine learning models.
• Ability to evaluate algorithm performance and validate results using real world datasets.
• Experience preparing structured outputs or datasets for visualization tools such as Power BI.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills when working with complex data environments.
