The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Pricing Analyst Contractor to join the team. While experience in either home or motor insurance is valuable, a background in home pricing is preferred. This is an embedded role within the team, with priorities evolving week-to-week in line with business needs.

Responsibilities will include:

• Development and enhancement of risk models
• Build and maintenance of retail (market) models
• Supporting trading decisions, including portfolio management and judgement-based pricing
• Radar model development and improvements
• Governance and process documentation and enhancements
• Development and production of MI and reporting
• Handling ad-hoc analytical requests
• Preparation of packs and materials for monthly committee meetings

This position suits a Senior Pricing Analyst who is comfortable working across a varied workload and adapting quickly to changing priorities.

Essential 

• 5+ years experience in UK General Insurance (Motor or Home), with a solid understanding of pricing principles. Either Risk or optimisation/street pricing experience is acceptable.

• Strong experience with WTW pricing/modelling software: e.g. Emblem, Radar

• Proactive with a bias for action and ownership: takes initiative to identify opportunities, drive meaningful improvements, and take accountability for outcomes.

• Hands-on experience with statistical modelling (e.g. GLMs, GBMs, clustering) applied to business problems

• Programming proficiency e.g. Python; R; SQL; Git

• Excellent communication and stakeholder skills, with the ability to present technical insights clearly to non-technical audiences.

• Strong organisational skills, with a proactive mindset and proven ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.
