What you’ll do

You will lead a Cloud Modernization Commando, an elite team, a high-impact engineering unit, focused on accelerating cloud modernization across the R&D teams in the organization. The team operates as a force multiplier, taking on complex, high-prioritized, and high-value cloud initiatives that require deep technical expertise, fast execution, and cross-team influence.

You will lead the full cycle from the front, designing, building, and validating modern cloud patterns, unblocking critical initiatives, and setting technical direction that other teams can confidently adopt. It is not a long-term feature delivery team, and stakeholders change per mission, yet it’s a mission-driven squad that engages where impact is highest, establishes momentum, and then hands over ownership to product teams.

Who you are

You are a seasoned, hands-on, engineering leader with a proven ability to create clarity, drive momentum, and take ownership in fast-moving, complex environments. You excel at breaking down ambiguous problems, aligning stakeholders, and moving initiatives from concept to execution with urgency and focus.

You bring deep cloud and architectural expertise, balancing strategic thinking with pragmatic delivery. You know when to design scalable, long-term patterns and when to deliver targeted, tactical solutions that unblock teams and accelerate progress across the organization.

You thrive in cross-team environments, earning trust, influencing without authority, and collaborating closely with product, architecture, security, and infrastructure groups to ensure alignment, adoption, and sustained impact.

Skills you are bringing with you

· 4+ years as Team Lead or Tech Lead

· 6+ years of experience with backend development, preferably C# and Node.js

· 6+ years of experience with advanced SQL (MSSQL/MySQL/PostgreSQL, etc.)

· 4+ years of experience with NoSQL database, preferably MongoDB

· Experience with building SaaS platforms for cloud-based products, preferably AWS

· Experience with Containers and Kubernetes (K8s), preferably EKS

· Experience with Event-Driven Architecture

· Experience with Message Brokers such as RabbitMQ/SQS/Kafka, preferably Kafka

· Experience with Microservices development

· Experience with AI tools for leveraging team velocity & quality

· B.S. in computer science or equivalent
