The role

Valtech is seeking a Java Tech Lead (all genders) to join our team. This role focuses on technical leadership, project delivery, and ongoing support for our e-commerce solutions. If you're passionate about backend development, especially Java and Spring Boot, and thrive in collaborative global environments, we want to hear from you.

You will thrive in this role if you are:

• Experienced in Agile methodologies and consulting (a plus)

Role responsibilities

• Guide the team in delivering backend solutions using Java and Spring Boot
• Design and evolve scalable APIs and services
• Support delivery of features in a high-traffic e-commerce environment
• Ensure code quality and promote best practices (Clean Code, TDD)
• Contribute to technical decisions and application performance
• Collaborate with international teams and stakeholders
• Support onboarding and knowledge sharing within the team

Must have qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications: 

• 3+ years as a Tech Lead
• Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot
• Experience with production backend systems
• Understanding of APIs and scalable architectures
• Experience with high-traffic applications
• Good English communication skills

Nice to have qualifications

• Salesforce integration experience
• Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Knowledge of microservices and CI/CD
• Experience in international teams
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to learn
