AEVEX Aerospace is hiring a Test Engineering Intern to work in our Tactical Systems engineering department. Envision, design, and develop products and systems as an integrated member of the engineering team. You will work closely with engineering teams across AEVEX to create solutions and systems that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will participate in all phases of product development and will be part of a group of hardworking engineers whose expertise ensures the success of engineering projects and programs. You’ll have the opportunity develop and refine technical skills working alongside industry experts in aircraft design, avionics and autonomy.

The AEVEX Internship Program gives individuals who are early in their career the opportunity to gain valuable learning opportunities while discussing goals, evaluating performance and receiving regular feedback. This Engineering Intern will work alongside the Tactical Systems Engineering Team through a variety of disciplines to envision, design, and develop products and systems while developing and refining their technical skills.

Essential Functions

• Assist with and observe all facets of flight testing, from initial planning and operations through execution, data collection, reduction and analysis, report writing and recommendations to ensure on-time completion
• Assist with reviewing and identifying potential issues relating to modification packages for air vehicles, ground control stations, and other support equipment
• Assist with assessing and/or evaluating both subjective and objective data acquired through test execution
• Collaborate with manager to establish internship goals and steps on achieving those goals throughout duration of the program
• Performing field tests on equipment and document results
• Research solutions to new products components and recommend upgrades
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education / Certifications

• Recent degree or current enrollment in an engineering program in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Systems Engineering or related field.
• Validated academic excellence (3.0 GPA and higher)

Experience

• No prior experience required.

Security Clearance

• Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret DoD clearance, U.S. Citizenship required.
