About the Life Sciences Vertical Team:

The extraordinary AlphaSense Sales team is split into two parts: Corporate and Financial Services. Our Corporate Sales Team is verticalised with a focus on the Fortune 1000 in the subsequent sectors: Life Sciences, Technology, Media, & Telecoms, Energy & Industrials, Consulting & Professional services, and Consumer Packaged Goods. This Account Executive role is focused on the Life Sciences Industry.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced, driven and accomplished sales professional with vertical knowledge in life sciences. You’ll join our growing Life Sciences Vertical Sales team focused on selling to top Life Sciences companies throughout EMEA. This is an opportunity to join a high growth company and sell an award winning product that is experiencing rapid adoption across the Life Sciences industry. The person in this role will make a significant contribution in the company’s growth and future success in the Life Sciences vertical.

Who You Are:

  • A Proficient Communicator: You have the skills necessary to explain complex financial data and concepts to a non-financial audience at Life Sciences organisations; either virtually, via phone and/or in writing
  • Hard-working and possess a ‘never give up’ attitude: We have a highly motivated team and an accomplished culture. We look for people who possess a natural tenacity and desire to succeed. You set the example for work ethic, forward-thinking, enthusiasm, and commitment.

  • Knowledgeable and experienced with the Life Science personas we sell into. (Whilst our product is sold enterprise-wide, our key ICP's sit within Corporate Strategy, Market Intelligence, Business Development, M&A, Investor Relations and Research-related functions.)
  • Intellectually Curious in Life Sciences: You know the right questions to ask Life Sciences professionals and how to uncover business challenges at all levels of a Life Sciences organisation from Analysts to C-level executives.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven track record selling with six- and seven-figure ACV wins. Preferably into life sciences organisations (pharma, biotech, medtech, CRO/CDMO)
  • Demonstrated success in building executive credibility quickly and sustaining strategic relationships across R&D, commercial, and corporate functions.
  • Exceptional skills in industry event networking, conferences, and panel participation to raise both personal and company profile.

What You’ll Do:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders across the life sciences value chain - from R&D and regulatory to commercial and corporate strategy - by providing insight-led guidance on competitive, market, and scientific intelligence.
  • Engage deeply with multiple stakeholder groups within pharma, biotech, medtech, and CRO/CDMO organizations, aligning AlphaSense to their strategic objectives.
  • Conduct rigorous pre-call research to tailor conversations and establish credibility with domain experts.
  • Lead executive-level presentations and on-site workshops that connect AlphaSense’s AI-driven capabilities directly to high-value use cases.
  • Develop and present quantified business cases that tie AlphaSense adoption to measurable improvements
  • Represent AlphaSense at major industry events (e.g., BIO, HLTH), delivering live demonstrations, discussions, and networking to position the company as a market intelligence leader in life sciences.
  • Orchestrate complex sales cycles across regional and global teams. You'll navigate multi-threaded decision-making processes, procurement, and legal review at an executive level.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Specialists and Customer Success to design and execute proof-of-concept trials and onboarding strategies that demonstrate clear ROI for life sciences customers.
