The Data department oversees all of Agoda’s data-related requirements. Our ultimate goal is to enable and increase the use of data in the company through creative approaches and the implementation of powerful resources such as operational and analytical databases, queue systems, BI tools, and data science technology. The Opportunity:

This role is a 10-month contract based in Bangkok, Thailand, and the candidate who succeeds will be assigned to the projects.

As a Software Developer in our Data team, you will play a key role in building innovative, data-driven tools that empower Agoda’s Customer Experience Group (CEG). You will help develop scalable solutions that enable CEG users to access, analyze, and leverage large volumes of conversation data, as well as contribute to the creation of self-learning bots that provide instant data insights with minimal developer support.

This is a contract role based in Bangkok, Thailand, for a duration of 11 months. Successful candidates will be assigned to impactful projects that directly improve productivity and user experience.

In this Role, you’ll get to:

• Develop scalable, self-service tools and dashboards for data analysis using SQL, Python, and Java.
• Build and enhance automation solutions, including RAG-based self-learning bots.
• Collaborate with managers and team members to design, test, and integrate solutions based on user feedback.
• Work with large datasets and contribute to making data more accessible and actionable for business users.

What you’ll Need to Succeed:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area, such as Computer Science, IT, or Management Information Systems, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply, preferably less than 2-year experience
• Solid knowledge of Java and/or Python programming languages.
• Ability to write and use basic SQL queries to retrieve, modify, or organize information in databases.
• Basic understanding of how databases and data warehouses operate and are managed.
• Willingness to quickly learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and industry trends.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with the capability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Proficient English communication skills for expressing ideas clearly and working well with colleagues in a professional environment.

It’s Great if you have:

• Experience using AI tools or platforms, which could help with automating tasks or analyzing data.
• Some background in building or connecting AI solutions, such as working with AI APIs or using machine learning libraries.
• Familiarity with data visualization or analytics tools, like Tableau or Metabase, to help turn data into easy-to-understand charts and reports.
