What you’ll do

• Manage the complete application development lifecycle, from planning and requirements gathering to delivery and support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including funding managers, traders, risk managers, and operations, to identify and prioritize application requirements.
• Define and maintain project plans, schedules, and resource allocations for application development projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
• Oversee application design, development, testing, and deployment, across both cloud and on-premises environments, ensuring that applications meet functional requirements and align with industry best practices.
• Implement and maintain application performance monitoring and reporting tools, ensuring optimal application performance and stability.
• Manage a team of application developers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
• Establish and maintain relationships with peer technology teams and third-party vendors and partners, ensuring seamless integration and support for internal and external applications and services.
• Continuously research and evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to inform application development strategy and drive innovation.
• Collaborate closely with our Tech Innovation team on the application of Generative AI capabilities for Central Funding technology.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards, including data security and privacy.

What’s required

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology, economics or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in application development and management.
• Strong understanding of central funding technology applications, including collateral management, liquidity management, and funding optimization.
• Knowledge of relevant programming languages, frameworks, and development tools, such as Java, C++, Python, C#/.NET, or similar.
• Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies, as well as project management tools, such as Jira.
• Knowledge of financial products such as Margin, Cost Attribution, and Prime Brokerage.
• Proven experience managing large-scale, complex application development projects, with a track record of successful delivery.
• Sufficient product familiarity to document and anticipate central funding business requirements as well as translate them into well understood technical specifications for technology teams.
• Track record of engaging with investment professionals on competing priorities, planning delivery phases and sprints, estimating delivery timelines, and communicating delivery status.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
