Position Summary:The Director of IT PMO / Chief of Staff is a strategic leadership role reporting directly to the CIO. This individual will drive execution excellence across the IT portfolio, and lead firm-wide planning and governance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the IT PMO to ensure consistent project governance, delivery excellence, and alignment with strategic priorities.
- Own the IT Project Roadmap, maintaining a 12–18 month forward-looking view of initiatives, dependencies, and resource planning.
- Manage the IT portfolio, facilitating prioritization and trade-off decisions in collaboration with IT and WLG departments.
- Drive cross-functional coordination to reduce “fire drills” and improve proactive planning, communication, and execution.
- Serve as a liaison between IT leadership and other departments, ensuring transparency, alignment, and shared accountability.
- Lead Agile transformation across the firm, embedding agile principles and practices into IT delivery and culture.
- Oversee IT budgeting and financial planning, including contract management, vendor oversight, and renewal readiness.
- Partner with Procurement in RFP processes for new technologies, ensuring alignment with firm needs, technical standards, and budget constraints.
- Establish and track IT performance metrics, providing visibility into delivery timelines.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence across the IT organization.
Physical Requirements:
- Office environment with normal business hours necessary to satisfactorily perform job functions.
- Stationary Position – Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time.
- Move or Traverse – This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, meeting rooms, office machinery, etc. May occasionally ascends/descends the stairs to get to other floors, cafeteria and parking area.
- Dexterity – constantly operates a computer and other office machinery such as a copy machine/printer.
- Move, Transport, Position, Put, Install, Remove - Occasionally moves supplies weighing up to 10 pounds for various presentation and event needs.
- Communicate, Detect, Converse with, Discern, Convey, Express oneself, Exchange information - The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Detect, Determine, Perceive, Identify, Recognize, Judge, Observe, Inspect, Estimate, Assess - The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
