The Engineering (Tech) Team is responsible for all Feedzai product development. Together with Product Management and Data Science, we build the next generation of tools to catch fraud in real-time with a machine learning first approach. Formed by engineers and managed by engineers, at Feedzai, you will find one of the most talented teams out there, from junior to senior engineers.

Driven to build the best value for our customers, our work involves a wide range of technical challenges. Such as building distributed systems that need to operate 24/7 with ultra-low latencies and solving UI/UX problems to help fraud analysts to fight fraud more efficiently. In addition, designing extensive databases from relational, NoSQL and graphs, validate and develop new data science techniques and algorithms.

You:

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing team within the Platform Engineering area. This Manager position requires a combination of business-oriented mindset and deep technical knowledge. You are someone who creates clarity in the face of ambiguity, translating high-level product vision into executable, multi-quarter roadmaps. You don't just manage a team; you own the strategic alignment between engineering outcomes and business value.

You will lead engineers accountable for translating needs into robust technical requirements—designing, building, and optimizing Feedzai’s cloud solutions. Success in this role means working in close partnership with Product, Engineering, Security, and Customer Success to deliver a world-class platform.

Your Day to Day

• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of highly skilled Engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous growth.
• Strategic Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define, enforce, and evolve engineering best practices.
• Data-Driven Management: Develop and maintain key performance metrics (SLOs/SLIs) to measure and improve system health.
• Operational Excellence: Promote a "you build it, you run it" mindset, focusing on automation and reducing operational friction.
• Predictable Delivery: Assess team capacity realistically to ensure consistent, predictable delivery of platform commitments.

You Have and You Know-How

• Proven Leadership: Extensive experience managing platform or infrastructure engineering teams in high-growth environments.
• Cloud Expertise: Deep understanding of major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and complex distributed systems.
• Orchestration & Automation: Strong familiarity with Kubernetes, container ecosystems, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices.
• Mission-Critical Mindset: A strong background in performance-sensitive systems where high availability is non-negotiable.
• Problem Solving: A proactive approach to identifying bottlenecks and a knack for making processes more efficient.
• Communication: Excellent leadership skills with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Candid Mentorship: Proven ability to grow talent by providing candid, continuous feedback aligned with professional career frameworks, fostering a high-trust and psychologically safe environment.
• Strategic Proximity: Ability to remain technically engaged enough to be accountable for architectural quality and security, without becoming a bottleneck in day-to-day operations.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).

Your First 30-Days at Feedzai:

You will be immersed in our brand with training, connections, and one-on-one time with your manager. You may shadow your colleagues virtually or onsite at an office depending on where you work as you are supported through your Feedzai journey. In addition, you will have access to a ton of information to give you history, context, and all the knowledge you can handle about Feedzai and the team.
