About the Role

We are seeking resourceful, tech-savvy independent contractors (“Doers”) to complete a wide variety of on-demand tasks using Duckbill’s platform.

This is a task-based, flexible opportunity, not a traditional employment role. Doers choose which tasks to accept and determine how to complete them using their own judgment, tools, and approach.

Duckbill’s platform may provide AI-generated suggestions or workflows, but Doers are responsible for evaluating, adapting, and executing tasks independently.

What You’ll Do

• Review available tasks and choose which ones to complete
• Use your own judgment and preferred methods to complete tasks accurately and efficiently
• Leverage tools (including AI provided through the platform) at your discretion
• Communicate with third parties (e.g., businesses, service providers) when needed to fulfill requests
• Deliver completed tasks that meet the outlined requirements

Tasks may include, but are not limited to:

• Dining & entertainment coordination (e.g., reservations, activity planning)
• Healthcare-related logistics (e.g., scheduling appointments, researching providers)
• Household services (e.g., sourcing cleaners, booking repairs)
• Shopping & product research (e.g., comparisons, sourcing options)
• Travel planning (e.g., itineraries, accommodations, transportation)
• General administrative and coordination tasks

What You Bring

• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate results
• Comfort using digital tools and willingness to leverage AI when helpful
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage your own time and approach
• Adaptability in handling a variety of task types

Backgrounds in customer service, operations, personal assistance, or project coordination can be helpful, but are not required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Reliable laptop and internet connection (20 Mbps download, 10 Mbps upload)
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be at least 18 years old

Flexibility & Commitment

• No minimum hour requirements
• No obligation to accept any specific tasks
• Work as much or as little as you choose

Compensation

• Independent contractor (1099) structure
• Task-based compensation using a credit system
• Earnings are based on the number and type of tasks completed
• No cap on earning potential

Independent Contractor Status

Doers operate as independent contractors and are not employees of Duckbill. Contractors have full control over how they complete tasks, including the methods, tools, and approach used. Contractors are free to perform services for other companies or clients and are not required to accept any minimum amount of work.
