Intern - Software Development Engineer (Bootcamp)

Location Details: Tempe, AZ or Remote USA

At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

Hybrid-or-Remote:  This position may be a hybrid or fully remote position, as decided by your manager. If designated as hybrid, you’ll divide your time between working remotely from your home and an office location, so you should live within commuting distance. If designated as remote, you’ll be working remotely from your home and may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or offsites. Your hiring manager can share more about this role’s hybrid or remote designation.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, California, Colorado, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, North Dakota, Oregon, Seattle, WA or the Virgin Islands.

Join our team...GoDaddy is looking for Software Engineers to join us as Bootcampers in learning about building and improving GoDaddy products. As a Bootcamper with GoDaddy, you will learn how to make meaningful contributions to the company’s revenue, customer growth, and innovation. This is a temporary 4-week internship assignment.

What you'll get to do...

• Learn the fundamentals of HTML, CSS, Javascript, React, Docker, APIs, and much more.
• Write highly scalable, highly available, cloud-ready applications through collaborative projects.
• Solve end-to-end problems.
• Test code (e.g. writing functional and unit tests).
• Adopt Agile methodologies to continuously release and deploy iterations of our services.
• Participate in job shadows to see how various teams operate
• Gain insight into working cross-functionally with teams such as UX or Security
• Develop a strong understanding of how you can assist our customers in accomplishing their goals every day.
• Demonstrate a positive demeanor and flexibility to work in a dynamic environment with changing needs.

Your experience should include...

• Completing a BS/MS in a computer science, information system, UX or related field.
• Experience in one programming language such as Java, Python, HTML, JavaScript, C#, Go Lang etc.
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, software designs, micro services, and cloud computing.
• Prior work experience with AWS is a plus.
• Demonstrates a passion to develop sophisticated and groundbreaking solutions for real-world business problems.
• Experience in an Agile development environment is a plus.
• Exhibit effortless analytical and research skills.
• Excellent social, written and verbal interpersonal skills.
• Strong writing skills with the ability to write clearly and quickly, explaining technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
• You have completed multiple academia projects that demonstrate a deep understanding of different technologies and tools.
• Strong sense of curiosity and are always striving to improve your knowledge base.
