Your future position

Kpler provides the most comprehensive tracking of commodity flows in dry bulk, and we are rapidly expanding our coverage. The Market Data Analyst owns data quality and operations for assigned geographical regions and product groups. You'll play a vital role in ensuring clients receive accurate, reliable data to navigate grains and oilseeds markets, while supporting the expansion of our Fertilizers coverage.

Your mission is to:

• Data quality ownership: Take charge of specific regions and product groups, ensuring the highest standard of data quality by reviewing internal constraints and ingesting data from external sources
• Continuous improvement: Identify technology and process improvements to efficiently process data and improve accuracy of our seaborne flows.
• Market monitoring: Track market news and developments to extract meaningful patterns and detect new trends. Provide evidence to product managers to improve business rules and algorithms
• Client support: Respond to ad-hoc client requests (emails, chats, video calls, in-person meetings) with rapid analysis. Assist sales and customer success teams in meeting client data needs, and feed insights back into internal systems to improve future responsiveness
• Circa 2-4 years of experience working with large, disparate and/or unstructured data sets (advanced Excel skills and experience with SQL and Python).
• You have proven experience integrating data and ease with working with databases.
• You have experience working with some of the following tools: JIRA, Postman, Tableau, Appsmith, Rundeck, Slack.
• You show willingness to learn, are a team player, quick learner, and able to work within short deadlines across multiple tasks.
• You have the ability to work and communicate in an international cross-cultural environment, with a strong focus on providing solutions.
• You are comfortable working with ambiguity and uncovering answers to complex product development questions.

Desirable

• Prior experience in shipping and trading, with knowledge of Agriculture dry bulk commodities (grains, oilseeds, fertilizers ect.)
