We are currently looking for Senior / Expert AI Algorithm Developers to join a project for a German company in the medical imaging / MedTech domain.

This project is focused on the development of advanced AI algorithms for a cloud-based cardiac medical imaging platform used for clinical intervention planning and analysis. The role combines deep learning, computational geometry, and 3D medical image processing in a highly specialized and regulated environment.

You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Clinical, Regulatory, and Quality teams to design and improve robust, scalable, and clinically relevant algorithmic solutions for cardiac workflows.

Project Overview

The platform supports cardiac intervention planning by using advanced AI-driven and geometry-based algorithms to process and analyze 3D medical imaging data.

A key focus of the project is to improve:

• algorithm accuracy
• robustness and numerical stability
• computational efficiency
• validation quality
• scalability within a regulated medical device environment

This is a highly specialized role, so previous experience in medical imaging or a similar MedTech environment is essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop advanced algorithms combining deep learning, computational geometry, and medical imaging technologies

-ьDesign, implement, and optimize 3D segmentation, modeling, and measurement pipelines for clinically relevant workflows

• Develop, train, validate, and optimize deep learning models and geometry-based algorithms
• Integrate developed algorithms into an existing cloud-based platform
• Process and analyze 3D medical imaging datasets, including CT, MRI, and echocardiography
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to translate clinical needs into robust technical solutions
• Work closely with Clinical, Regulatory, and Quality teams to support compliance with medical device development standards
• Continuously improve algorithm robustness, numerical stability, and performance
• Contribute to research activities and evaluate new methods and technologies

✅Must-Have Requirements

• Strong professional experience in AI algorithm development and deep learning
• Proven experience in computational geometry
• Experience deriving measurements from 3D segmentations
• Hands-on experience with medical image analysis and 3D data processing
• Experience working with CT, MRI, or echocardiography datasets
• Excellent Python development skills
• Strong experience with PyTorch or similar deep learning frameworks
• Experience with numerical optimization, algorithm validation, and stable software design
• Experience handling meshes, geometric feature extraction, and complex 3D datasets
• Previous experience in regulated medical or MedTech environments
• English B2+ or higher

✅Nice to Have

• Experience with AWS-based cloud environments
• Experience with TypeScript
• Experience with scientific and imaging libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, and VTK
• Previous experience with companies such as Siemens Healthineers or similar medical imaging organizations
• Experience working in interdisciplinary environments involving Product, Engineering, Clinical, and Regulatory stakeholders
