The Agoda Supply Team is a group of creative entrepreneurs that develop solutions for Agoda’s accommodation partners and promote Agoda’s top and bottom-line growth. We design tailored business and product solutions with our partners and help them generate measurable value. Members of our team are empowered and supported to grow their market(s) or accounts. We develop win-win relationships and leverage Agoda’s unique accommodations portfolio and tech solutions to bring our partners the advantages they seek. Utilizing our strong brand and resources, we roll out new products to increase the visibility of Agoda, introduce more travelers to our great products and service, and deliver significant revenue to the overall business.
The Tech Partnerships team owns the Tech Solutions ecosystem and providers that connect Agoda with our hotel partners. The team is responsible for driving supply performance and ensuring best in class connectivity, analyzing, planning, and executing growth initiatives through technical partnerships and strategy.
The Opportunity:
The Tech Partnerships Senior Manager role will own, analyze, plan, and execute growth initiatives through product solutions and partnerships- an affinity for adding commercial value to our partners through driving strategy and growth initiatives will be integral to this role.
Located in our Tokyo office, this position requires close coordination with commercial, operational, and technical stakeholders in the region to drive the assigned portfolio’s performance.
In this role, you'll get to own:
- Business Development: Build relationships and leverage partners to drive supply coverage and quality via commercial and product innovation
- Scoping: Build business cases for product development based on identified supply partnership opportunities
- Project Delivery: Execute supply connectivity strategy, leveraging internal and external resources
- Experimentation: Test any technical or strategic changes through data-driven experimentation
What you'll need to succeed:
- Ideally, a minimum of 7 years’ experience working in a combination of the following roles: sales and account management, project management/PMO, commercial strategy, consulting
- A strong familiarity with the Japanese travel/ Online Travel Agency (OTA)/tech and ecommerce industry with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships in the Japanese market
- An analytical mindset with a proven track record in using data to prepare decision making, and to drive strategy and make decisions
- The ability to work and prioritize under pressure in a competitive industry/rapidly changing environment
- Experience in building and maintaining strong cross-functional relationships with stakeholders within the company
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, up to C-level
- Native-level Japanese to communicate with clients speaking Japanese, and business-level English to communicate internally
It's great if you have:
- Understanding of APIs and xml connections
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g. Excel, SQL, Tableau)
