What you’ll do

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

  • Lead and mentor torque technicians.
  • Assign daily workloads, monitor performance, and provide training on procedures, safety, and best practices.
  • Conduct performance reviews and support professional development.
  • Enforce safe use and handling of torque tools.
  • Train staff on hazard recognition and proper protective equipment
  • Participate in safety meetings and incident investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards. safety protocols, including risk assessments, interlocks, and safety-rated software functions.
  • Conduct periodic safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Supervise the maintenance, calibration, and storage of torque tools (manual, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic).
  • Ensure calibration schedules are tracked and performed per manufacturer and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate calibration records and tool history logs.
  • Validate torque values for assemblies to ensure compliance with engineering specifications.
  • Assist production teams with torque tool setup, troubleshooting, and corrective actions.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance productivity and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance to investigate torque-related non-conformances.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) when torque discrepancies occur.
  • Ensure all torque processes align with ISO automotive, or industry-specific standards.
  • Comfortable working in various environments, including indoors and outdoors.
  • Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in maintenance processes and practices.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs and perform physical tasks as required.

Location & Travel Expectations:

  • This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Blythewood, South Carolina.
  • The responsibilities of this role require daily attendance in office with in-person meetings and events regularly.
  • Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

What you’ll bring

  • 4+ years of professional experience in automotive production, with expertise in achieving stable production processes and in-depth knowledge of production equipment and operations preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree. An equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Proven experience in a maintenance role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory position.
  • Knowledge of SAP PM_ Plant Maintenance Preferred
  • Experience with 3D printing, and CAD model preferred
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance techniques, tools, and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficient in using maintenance management software SAP_PM
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Lead and mentor a team of maintenance technicians.

Pay Transparency

This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

Initial base salary range = $95,000.00 - $120,000.00
